This seminar is intended to empower the women students to use and understand technology, and to increase their confidence and ability to succeed in engineering.

Web-based Network Technologies and Instructional Tools
Our effort is geared to find effective ways to educate students in networking topics via modern Internet technologies. Such students may come from a variety of backgrounds and are located in remote geographical areas. The students should be able to comprehend the underlined complex network technologies and their cumulative interaction in a friendly manner.

 Developed a web based course management system, IMPACT. This tool has been extensively used in undergraduate and graduate courses in UMASS as well as in schools in the local school districts. For the online demonstration of IMPACT, click here .
 Developed a web based interactive multimedia instructional unit on Multimedia Networking.

Institutions and professors have been using this tool successfully. A PDA-based version of IMPACT has been developed for mobile platforms - details on pocketIMPACT can be obtained at our Project Page .

Co-operative Education
As part of our educational efforts, we are building an  Internet-based Computer Networks Laboratory (R-Lab) that will enable a collaborative e-learning environment for UMASS students as well as for several nearby women colleges.
